Almighty God, eternal shepherd and guide, In your love for us, grant to the Catholic Diocese of Lancaster a shepherd who will lead us to be Christ’s heart of mercy, voice of hope and hands of justice.
Help him to fill our minds and hearts with the truth of the Gospel, the power of the sacraments, and the desire to build up your holy Church.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

A CRITICAL MOMENT ! - 50th Anniversary of the Abortion Act - October 27th

Leaders of the British Medical Assoc, and the Royal College of Midwives, want the complete removal of legal restrictions and sanctions regarding abortion.
The Royal College of Gynaecologists are debating the same thing. Their president, Prof. Lesley Regan, compared abortion to “having your bunions sorted”. So trivial now ?
Unborn babies are defenceless – and so are their vulnerable mothers - unless we come to their defence.
Pretty soon a Bill will be introduced to make all abortion legal, right up to birth. We must act, so …...PLEASE LOBBY YOUR MP...

Please contact your MP a.s.a.p. (WALLACEB@ parliament.uk) if you’re in Preston North and Wyre constituency))
to have a meeting with him/her during October.
Better a group together if possible. Ask Fr. Bob for lobbying ideas if desired. And let us pray about it.

HOW CAN I CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME?
“....continuity is essential, because policies related to climate change and environmental protection cannot be altered with every change of government.....to take up these responsibilities and the costs they entail, politicians will inevitably class with the midset of short term gain............… ”. (Pope Francis “Laudato Si” online, par 181)
The Good News - Wind power is now producing more power and more cheaply than nuclear fuel!
